E.V.V.Satyanarayana:The comedy Machine

Eedara Veera Venkata Satyanarayana was born on June 10th,1956 in Dommeru of west godavari district in Andhra Pradesh.During his early days in the film industry he struggled a lot in his career and worked as an assistant director to many directors but it was Hasya Bramha Jandhyala who recognized his talent and gave him the golden opportunity to work with him as an assistant director.During this period he assisted Jandhyala in 22 films over a period of 8 years.Chevillo Puvvu starring Rajendra Prasad was his first film as a director.This film’s failure had disheartend EVV to the extent of deciding to leave the film industry but very soon producer D.Ramanidu gave him a second chance to prove himself with the film Prema Khaidi.The film was a huge hit and helped EVV establish himself as director.EVV tickled the funny bone of telugu audience with his trademark comedy flicks like Appula Appa Rao,Aa Okatti Adakku and Jamba Lakadi Pumba which received cult status in the genre of  comedy films in telugu cinema.He has worked with most of the top heroes during his time and delivered hit films like Hello Brother with Nagarjuna,Alluda Mazaka with Chiranjeevi,Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu with Venkatesh.He also had the oppurtunity of directing Amitabh Bachan in his bollywood film Sooryavansh.EVV also proved his versatility by making sentimental as well as critically acclaimed flicks like Aame,Kanyadanam,Thali and Ammo Okato Tariku.He is also known for the unusual tiles of all his films .
He later introduced his sons Aryan Rajesh and Naresh with his films.Though Naresh was successful in establishing himself as a comedy hero but his brother Aryan Rajesh was unable to do so.EVV then went on to deliver many successful films starring his son Naresh with films like Thotti gang,Na Alludu Very Good,Kitakhitalu,Athili Sathibabu LKG ,Bendu AppaRao RMP and Khatti Kanta Rao.EVV died on January 21st,2011 due to throat cancer and cardiac arrest.His demise was a great loss to the telugu film fraternity.EVV has made 51 films over a period of 25 years and his success story is an inspiration. His discipline and hardwork continues to inspire many people even today and he will be remembered forever for entertaining the telugu audience through his films.
